Halloween gives us some of the best photos.

🎃 Halloween Scrapbook Layout #1: Four Photos, One Frightfully Easy Page
This is a simple layout when you have four photos from the same Halloween story—a party, costumes, trick-or-treating, a pumpkin patch, or one particularly memorable October night.
Start by choosing four photos that work together.
Follow the photo placement you see here, use one patterned paper as your background, and bring in another pattern or color to add contrast around your photos.
Then add your title and a few embellishments.
That's it.
See what happens when the photos go in?
Suddenly it's your people, your Halloween, and your story.
A little story worth adding:
What do you remember about this night that the photos don't tell?
Maybe someone said something hilarious. Maybe the costume lasted approximately eleven minutes. Maybe you remember who was there, what you ate, where you went afterward, or why everyone was laughing.
Write that part down.
👻 Halloween Scrapbook Layout #2: Let One Favorite Photo Steal the Show
Sometimes you have one photo you absolutely love.
Let it be the star.
Use your favorite photo as the focal point, then add a few supporting photos around it to help tell the rest of the story.
This works especially well when one photo captures the personality of the whole night—the ridiculous costume, the perfect group shot, or the picture that makes you laugh every single time you see it.

Why is that particular photo your favorite?
That answer may be the whole story your page needs.
🕷️ Halloween Scrapbook Layout #3: When You Have LOTS of Photos
Some Halloween stories refuse to be told in three photos.
I support this. 😂
This layout gives you room for several photos without making the page feel like they're all fighting for attention.
Choose the pictures that help tell the story from beginning to end, then follow the layout as your map.
And yes, you are absolutely allowed to crop things out.
Random ceiling?
Gone.
Half of someone's arm?
Farewell.
We need room for the good stuff. 😂
A little story worth adding:
What happened before, during, or after these photos?
Sometimes the funniest part of the story happened when nobody had a camera out.
🧙 Halloween Scrapbook Layout #4: Give the Silly Photos a Page
Please tell me I'm not the only person whose camera roll contains photos that are objectively ridiculous.
Those belong in the scrapbook too.
Especially at Halloween.
Costumes, terrible selfies, funny faces, photobombs, questionable wigs, and the pictures that would never win a photography award but make you laugh every time you see them?
Use them.
Years from now, these may be some of your favorite pages.

Write down the joke, the costume story, the nickname, or whatever tiny detail will help Future You remember why this was so funny.

Your Halloween story doesn't have to be made entirely of perfectly posed people.
Mix in the details.
The decorations. The candy haul. The jack-o'-lantern someone spent two hours carving. The front porch. The party food. The costume pieces scattered across the bathroom counter.
Those little photos help tell us what Halloween looked like in your life that year.

Choose your photos.
Copy the placement you see here.
Copy the paper arrangement.
Put your embellishments in similar places.
Give yourself a title.
Now look at mine.
Then look at yours.
They may have started with the same layout, but yours has something mine never will:

Funny Stories Are Worth Remembering, Too 🎃
Halloween doesn't usually give us the beautifully posed family photos where everyone is looking at the camera and nobody is blinking.
Thank goodness. 😂
It gives us ridiculous costumes.
Bad wigs.
Chocolate-covered faces.
Friends being weird.
Kids who suddenly refuse to wear the costume they begged for.
Traditions that make absolutely no sense to anyone outside your family.
And ordinary October nights that become funnier and sweeter as the years go by.
Those stories belong in our scrapbooks, too.
So choose one.
Print the photos.
Copy a layout if you want.
And write down the part you don't want to forget.
